118 Cagayan gov’t employees undergo computer literacy training

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- One hundred eighteen Cagayan Provincial Government employees graduated from a four-session computer literacy training on Friday, October 20.

Provincial Human Resources Management Officer Virgilio Olangco said 140 participants underwent training from October 7-10.

Olangco said most of the trainees had no prior knowledge with computers and that the training focused on teaching them basic Microsoft offices and computer operations.

The trainees also included those from district hospitals.

In a press release, Cagayan Provincial Information Office said Governor Manuel Mamba ordered the HRMO to conduct a training to equip all employees with knowledge in using computer units.

Meanwhile, the HRMO also conducted a seminar on Republic Act No. 6713 or the “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees” for administrative officers of the provincial government, October 17-18.

Olangco said they are expecting them to echo what they learned from the seminar to their coworkers in their respective departments. Northernforum.net
