2 gasoline trucks fume fire in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Two oil tankers caught fire in a gasoline station in Barangay Bagumbayan, Lal-lo, Cagayan on Tuesday, September 27.

Forces of Lal-lo Rescue 35, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Lal-ll Police Station were able to respond to Roc Shell station and quickly put out the fire.

In earlier reports, Fire Officer 1 Bonmark Jumaranta of BFP Lal-lo said the tanker truck was refilling in Roc Shell station when its engine suddenly started to fume smoke and ignited at around 12:54 pm. Another truck parked beside it was also affected.

The driver, Manolito Dolores, 43, reportedly sustained first degree burns in his hands and feet as he tried to put out the fire.

BFP are still investigating the cause of the fire. Reports stated that the estimated cost of the tanker was P4 million. Northernforum.net
