2 most wanted, 4 others nabbed in separate Isabela police ops

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Six suspects including two “most wanted” persons were caught in separate police operations in Isabela on Friday, December 1, and Saturday, December 2.

Police caught Melito Talaue, 58, and Jomel Talaue, 29, both residents of Barangay San Rafael Abajo, Santo Tomas, Isabela. The two were the town’s top two and three most wanted persons.

The Talaue brothers were suspects in the killing of John John Laggui in new year’s day 2016.

Meanwhile, police also arrested 19-year old merchandiser Reyvie Bancal from Tumauini, Isabela and 24-year old Marvin Balvin, 24, from Quezon City – both for qualified theft

Also, Valley Cops nabbed mechanic Ricky John Taguba, 21, from Maligaya, Tumauini, Isabela for frustrated murder; and farmer Ariel Nillo, 35, from Guilingan, Benito Soliven, Isabela for murder and violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

In a press release, Police Regional Office 02 Regional Director Police Chief Superintendent Robert Quenery said the successful police operations were results of the police’s intensified campaign against wanted persons or Oplan Manhunt Charlie; and strong partnership between police and the community.

“I believe that the best deterrent against crime is the certainty of arrest and conviction of criminals. If wanted persons are duly accounted, the number of criminals who roam the streets is reasonably reduced, thus, contributing greatly in the development of peaceful communities,” Quenery said in the release. Northernforum.net
