2 students die of drowning in Tuguegarao City

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Two students of Cagayan National High School (CNHS) died after drowning in Pinacanuan River in this city.

Police Superintendent Edward Guzman, Tuguegarao City police chief, identified the victims as Raymond Villocero and Joe Francis Daya.

In their initial investigations,  police said the victims were swimming with their friends when they suddenly disappeared. Their friends, according to police, asked for assistance.

Police said a concerned citizen rescued Daya and was brought to Cagayan Valley Medical Center, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Villocero, meanwhile, was found lifeless two hours after retrieval operations.

Guzman said they are now investigating the incident. Northernforum.net
