395 newly-promoted Cagayan Valley police take oath

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan –Some 395 uniformed personnel of Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) took their oath of office on Monday, March 12.

The newly-promoted personnel underwent rigorous selection and screening by PRO2 Promotion Board, Cagayan Valley Regional Police Public Information Officer Superintendent Chevalier Iringan said in a press release.

The officers were chosen out of more than 1,000 applicants after series of exams and interviews conducted by PRO2’s Promotion Board led by Cagayan Valley Deputy Police Regional Director for Administration Senior Superintendent Petronelli Baldebrin.

Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (RPHRDD) Chief Police Senior Superintendent Juan Aggasid said that the promoted personnel are composed of 54 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and 341 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs).

Of the 54 PCOs, there are now two police superintendents, two are police chief inspectors, four are police senior inspectors, and 46 are police inspectors, Aggasid said.

Meanwhile, of the PNCOs, 37 are elevated to senior police officers 03, five are senior police officers 02, 92 senior police officers 01, 115 police officers 03, and 92 are police officers 02.

PRO2 Regional Director Police Chief Superintendent Jose Mario Espino administered the donning and pinning of ranks and oath taking of the promotees.

In his message, Espino congratulated the newly-promoted commissioned officers and non-commissioned officers for their well-deserved promotion.

Espino also reminded them that “additional shape and lines that they have received connote more responsibilities and accountability.”

“I would like to share an inspiring quote from Mr. Francis Kong that in our organization, promotion is some sort of motivation which is our perceptions that once you are promoted, you are motivated to do more. But for you to do more good or to strive more for success, it is not the promotion as a motivation, but it is a routine,” the regional director said.

Meanwhile, also on Monday, PRO2 joined in the nationwide celebration of Women’s Month. Northernforum.net
