5-M worth of dried Marijuana leaves recovered in Quezon, Isabela

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – 42 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves with an aggregate value of more or less five million pesos were recovered in Barangay Santos, Quezon, Isabela yesterday, July 20, 2020.

Cagayan Valley cops Regional Director PBGen Crizaldo Nieves said that they received a report from municipal councilor Armando Lacambra. According to Lacambra, they were jogging around the Quezon Boulevard particularly at the Botanical Park when they noticed two suspicious sacks colored yellow and pink.

Authorities immediately responded to the report and verified what were inside the sacks.

Authorities recovered dried marijuana leaves with an estimated weight of 42 kilos.

Meanwhile, the recovered leaves are now under the custody of Quezon Police Station for proper disposition.

Nieves directed the Provincial Director of Isabela PPO to conduct thorough investigation for the possible arrest and identification of the suspects. TNF
