CAGAYAN, Philippines- A 9-year old girl in Lal-lo town in this province was sexually assaulted by a still unidentified suspect while going home after a Christmas carol.
In a report, Lal-lo town police two residents of Jurisdicion village found the victim lying on a rice field, feeble and pale.
The girl was brought to a hospital in Tuguegarao City for a treatment.
In their initial investigation, the victim was with her friend going around caroling in Magapit village in the same town, and were about to go home a when the suspect offered them a ride to their homes.
But the suspect dropped the other girl near a cemetery in Tucalana village and brought the victim to the crime scene.
Investigators said the suspect might have tried to kill victim because victim was full of bruises around her body.
Police are now investigating the incident to know the identity of the suspect. –Northernforum.net
