Bomb threat disrupts work in DENR-Cagayan Valley building

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- A bomb threat has forced employees of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-Cagayan Valley out their building on Wednesday, November 8.

Marjorie Buendia said they received the email around 2 pm that warned of 4 envelope-sized bombs  hidden in a steel cabinet located at in the 2nd floor of the building.

It was the same bomb threat that the DENR central office in Manila received on Wednesday.

“Kahapon namin ‘nilagay, sasabog ngayong November 8, 2016, mamayang eksaktong 3 pm. Umalis na lang kayo at ‘wag na ipaalam sa awtoridad,” the email supposedly said.

The email, Buendia said, came from unger111@gmail.com.

Authorities are now investigating the incident. TNF
