TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. turned over generator sets and water pumps to the local government units of Isabela province on Friday, October 25.
In his speech, Marcos said it is important for LGUs to have generator sets to keep the operations of the towns ongoing despite total blackout due to broken electric lines.
The province’s northern Isabela towns were among those hardly hit by super typhoon Lawin on October 19.
Marcos said the water pumps are also essential to typhoon-affected farmers, whose crops were also destroyed by the typhoon.
The northern Isabela towns that received the generators sets were: Tumauini, Cabagan, Santa Maria, Santo Tomas, and San Pablo. The town mayors personally received the assistance.
Meanwhile, the province of Dinagat Island represented by Vice Governor Ben Glenn Ecleo also personally turned over P1 million cash assistance to the provincial government as aid to typhoon victims in Isabela.
