TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- The proposed 2018 budget is set to be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cagayan on October 16, Cagayan Provincial Information Office (CPIO) announced on Thursday, October 05.
In CPIO’s Cagandang Balita, the Provincial Finance Committee (PFC) assured that the 2018 budget will be passed “on-time,” after department heads and other officials held the 13th Management Committee meeting in the capitol.
CPIO’s Rogelio Sending said the 2018 budget will be passed despite the current deliberation of the sanggunian on the 2017 budget and the Local Development Investment Plan for 2017-2022.
On September 19, the PFC conducted a meeting with other departments to finalize the 2018 budget.
Provincial Planning Development Coordinator and PFC Chair Elisa Umoso said in an earlier press release that the meetings aim to determine the priority projects and allocation of funds.
The proposed budget reportedly covers agriculture, environment, infrastructure, social welfare, physical fitness and sports, public health and nutrition, peace and order, sports, tourism, and culture among others. Northernforum.net
