Cauayan City assures security for 17th PESO Congress

CAUAYAN CITY, Philippines- The Cauayan City Police Station (CCPS) has assured the security of an estimated 900 delegates from all over the country who will attend the three-day Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Congress here.

P/Supt. Narciso Paragas, Cauayan City police chief, said they will be complemented by the army and city Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) in the security and traffic plans to ensure the safety of delegates for the congress to be held at the F. L. Dy Coliseum from October 4 to October 6.

The delegates coming from other cities and municipalities in the country are expected to arrive on Wednesday.

He said policemen will be assigned in the airport, hotels, and other strategic areas to secure the delegates.

The city government will host this year’s annual gathering, a venue where each PESO manager will share experiences and best practices in implementing local public employment service programs and projects.

Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy, in an earlier interview, said Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, DOLE Regional Director Manuel Roldan, Isabela Governor Faustino G. Dy III, and Cagayan Rep. Randolph Ting, who is the chairman on labor and employment in the House of Representatives, are expected to attend. PNA
