TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Cagayan State University’s Darlene Jully Caleda and Meryl Melad landed on the top 5 and 9 respectively in the September 7-8 2016 Respiratory Therapy licensure examination.
The CSU-College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) also registered a 100 percent passing rate with 49 takers.
The dean of the college, Dr. Julius Capili said he is in “euphoria” with the licensure examination results.
“I am actually in euphoria and I do not know whether to go to school tomorrow or how to celebrate”, Capili said in a phone interview.
Just last week, the same college made CSU the top performing Medical Technology school in the Philippines after all 89 passers passed in the Medtech examinations.
“I just hope that we may be included as a performing school”, Capili said.
As per Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), to be considered as top performing school, a school must have atleast 50 takers.
Capili said that the Board of Respiratory Therapy is petitioning the inclusion of those who did not meet the 50 minimum numbers of takers since RT is just on its third batch of examinees.
“But then even if it will not be positively responded, I am more than happy with all the blessings that we were given”, Capili added.TNF
