TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- No less than President Rodrigo Duterte swore into office Isabela Vice Governor Tonypet Albano as the new national president of the League of Vice Governors of the Philippines (LVGP).
Albano, in his Facebook post, said it is his “pleasure” to be elected as the head of all the vice governors in the entire nation.
“It is a pleasure serving my country in leading the 81 fine Vice Governors to become the best servant leaders for our common aspiration to improve our beloved provinces, thereby creating a better and more prosperous Republic of the Philippines,” Albano said.
Albano succeeded former Cagayan Vice Governor Leonides Fausto, who served as LVGP as national president for two consecutive terms.
He is now on second term as vice governor of Isabela.
He was unopposed in the recent May 2016 elections. Northernforum.net
