CITY OF ILAGAN, Philippines- The provincial government of Isabela joined the nationwide 50th Association of Southeast Asian anniversary by illuminating the six-foot lantern at the Queen Isabela Park on Tuesday night.
Troy Alexander Miano, Isabela Tourism Officer, said Gov. Faustino G. Dy III and Vice Governor Antonio Albano led the landmark lighting activity. They are joined by local chief executives and capitol employees of Isabela including national government agencies based in Isabela.
Miano said the landmark lighting activity started at 6:00 p.m. at the Queen Isabela Park in front of the capitol.
He said the participation of Isabela province in the landmark lighting activity is in support to the 50th anniversary of ASEAN, with the Philippines as host this year.
The tourism official had earlier urged all Isabelinos to join the provincial officials in the landmark lighting activity this afternoon. (PNA)
