CAUAYAN CITY, PHILIPPINES- An official of the National Irrigation Administration–Magat River Integrated Irrigation Service (NIA-MRIIS) said the dam has enough stored water for irrigation for next cropping season as of May 2.
NIA-MRIIS head Engr. Wilfredo Gloria said, the water elevation of the dam was more than 180 meters, enough for irrigation service for the upcoming cropping season.
Gloria said the rainfall in the upstream of Magat in Nueva Vizcaya and Ifugao would sustain the high water elevation.
He said the dam would resume providing irrigation service this June 2017 as the next cropping season would restart.
The irrigation service was temporarily suspended last April. PNA/Northernforum.net
