TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines– A 20-year old woman from Abulug, Cagayan who Police reported missing has been located and is in good condition.
Abulug Police confirmed to The Northern Forum that Gladys Tañeca Palaganas is safe after her family reported this to the police on Thursday, August 24.
In a phone interview, Lorita Palaganas, mother of Gladys, said that they were helped by a distant relative in Manila. She said her daughter was supposed to study further. Gladys apparently did not like the idea because she wanted to work instead. This led to her leaving their home.
Gladys’ mother said that they have yet to speak to their daughter but they are relieved knowing that she is okay.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa mga nag-alala at nagdasal para sa anak ko. Hindi ko po masisisi yung mga bashers, mga nagcomment ng hindi maganda sa kanya pero liliwanagin ko po na okay lang po siya, wala po kaming problema,” she said.
Her family through Abulug Police sought on Facebook on Tuesday, August 22, for help from those who may have information on her whereabouts. This after Palaganas reportedly left their house for a tooth checkup on Saturday, August 19.
Palaganas is an information technology graduate from Sitio Ayaga, Barangay Lucban in the town.
“Ang pamilya [niya] po at kapulisan po ng Abulug ay taos pusong nagpapasalamat sa tulong ng bawat isa para mahanap siya.. Siya po ay nasa mabuting kalagayan,” stated Abulug Police on Facebook. Northernforum.net
