TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Nueva Vizcaya’s Provincial Nutrition Council held its Municipal Nutrition Action Plan (MNAP) Workshop on September 18-20 at Crown Legacy Hotel, Baguio City.
The said workshop would help Municipal Nutrition Action Officers and Technical Working Groups to discuss and create the 2018-2022 MNAP for Local Nutrition Committees, a press release from the provincial government reported.
The MNAPs will be subject to approval and integration to the new Philippine Plan of Action, the release stated.
The workshop covered the situational analysis of towns, setting of the outcome and output objectives, formulating the operational plan and annual investment plan, the monitoring and evaluation plan, and re-entry planning, the release reported.
Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Doctor Edwin B. Galapon said, “you (local nutrition committees) are good in implementing programs but lack planning, that is why we are doing this training for us to formulate better and enhance our MNAPs.”
National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region 02 Nutrition Program Coordinator Officer in Charge Maria Gisela Lonzaga is hoping that the participants would have a new perspective on nutrition programs after the workshop, the release said.
The participants also conducted their midyear review of the town’s nutrition activities. Northernforum.net
