P95 million bldg, others planned for Cagayan subcapitol

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- A four-storey tower-type building is planned for construction at Cagayan’s subcapitol in Bangag, Lal-lo, an official of the provincial government said on Monday, December 04.

The building, with P95 million allotted budget, will serve as the new main building of the sub-capitol, administrator Robert Adap said in an episode of Pagdidinnamagan: Kapehan sa Kapitolyo.

Adap said this plan is part of Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba’s “vision” to relocate the operations of the main capitol to the 27-hectare wide subcapitol.

The “twin” building will “house all employees of the provincial government,” Adap said.

He said the current main building of the subcapitol will not be modified but will instead become a reception area once the new building is completed.

Meanwhile, Adap revealed that construction has begun for the P34-million “state of the art” evacuation center in the sub-capitol. The farmers training center for tobacco also began construction.

Further, Adap said it is a “welcome development” to have the regional museum in Lal-lo. In earlier reports, Governor Mamba is pushing for the establishment of a regional museum in Cagayan. Northernforum.net
