PD Quilang commends SM security guards on JTI ceremony

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan- The SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown (SMTD) held its 2nd Joint Tactical Inspection (JTI) Ceremony on February 21, 2020 with the presence of PCOL Ariel Narag Quilang, the Provincial Director of Cagayan Police Provincial Office (CPPO).

Quilang said that the security guards of SMTD act like police officers who should always be alert, ready, and reliable.

“Para kayong mga totoong pulis sa inyong mga kilos. Ito ay napakabuting ebidensya na ready kayo sa anumang sakuna”, he added.

Quilang also congratulated the success of the conduct of the 2nd JTI ceremony at SMTD which he emphasized at the latter part of his speech.

JTI is a yearly event that is being conducted by SM’s Customer Relations Services (CRS) Division headed by Almus J. Alabe, CRS Senior Assistant Vice President in collaboration with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAS) in respective SM’s Regional Area of Responsibility.

“The primary aim of having JTI is to inspect the readiness of the security guards assigned in SM Supermalls, SM Retail Group and its Affiliates and check compliance to requirements of the Philippine National Police, SOSIA or RA 5487”, Alabe said.

Aside from individual clothing and agency equipment, inspectors also checked the armaments and issued firearms to the security guards.

Among the awardees from Security force were SG Christopher Roque, SG Valeriano I. Duyao, SG Christian D. Zipangan while Arelene E. Casibang, Aila Marie Cabildo, and Jenie Lubo who are members of job clean received same commendation.

Meanwhile, Alabe said, that he admires the City Mayor of Tuguegarao, Atty. Jefferson P. Soriano for his unending support on the company’s vision.

Alabe shared that the SMTD’s security guards have had a lots of improvements and will not be left behind even as the upcoming bigger mall will rise soon.
