PSA reports recent figures ‘affecting’ Cagayan Valley’s population

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region 02 reported the recent figures “affecting the population” of Cagayan Valley during the culmination of the 28th National Statistics Month on Friday, October 27.

PSA Survey Operations Coordination Division Officer-in-Charge Mary Jane Cabauatan revealed that in their recent data, the annual average income of families in the region is P237,000 while the annual average expenditure for each family is around P162,000.

Cabauatan said this means that the annual savings per family is P75,000.

Cabauatan also said that the employment rate of the region is 97.7%.

She also said the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) as of 2015 has grown by 4.1% at P134.4 billion.

Meanwhile, in agricultural production, the region has produced 889,000 metric tons of palay, 377,000 metric tons of corn, 236,000 metric tons of fruits, and 135,000 metric tons of vegetables and root crops.
