Santiago City trike drivers, operators seek fare increase

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela- The Federation of Tricycle Operators and Drivers’s Association here is planning to submit a petition for the increase of fare to the City Tricycle Franchising and Regulatory Board (CTFRB) following the increase in the prices of oil and petroleum products early this year and in the past months.

Jun Tela, tricycle driver, said there was an increase of P3 per liter for gasoline last December 2016 here.

“I hope the government will intervene for possible control of oil prices in order that our income will not be affected,” Tela said.

Meanwhile, the price LPG here is now pegged at P630 to P660 per 11 kilogram tank depending on the brand. PIA
