SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown celebrates Feast of ‘Three Kings’

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown celebrated the Solemnity of the Epiphany through their ‘Three Kings and Paper Crown Parade’ on Sunday, January 07.

In the first event of SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown for 2018, children wore their best costume as the three kings, traditionally named by Filipinos as Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltazar.

The children then lead a parade around the mall with the different mascots from participating SM Center Tuguegarao mall tenants which included Vivo, Oppo, Red Ribbon Bakeshop, and Max’s Restaurant.

SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown Press Relations Officer Princess Lou Lauigan said the young participants and their parents enjoyed the simple celebration as the children also put on their best smiles for the photo opportunity with the mascots.

The “Feast of Three Kings” celebration was completed with special food promos from some of the food tenants, Lauigan said.

The Solemnity of the Epiphany or traditionally known as the “Feast of Three Kings” marked the end of the Christmas season for the Catholic church. This depicts wise men from the east visiting the infant Jesus Christ in his manger. PR/PSL/Northernforum.net
