TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Cagayan Third District Representative Randy Ting said his district has the least shortage of government classrooms and teachers in Cagayan Valley region.
Ting, claiming the Department of Education (DepEd) as his source, said among the 10 congressional districts in Region 2, the third district of Cagayan is faring well in services for the education sector.
“Napakalaki na rin po ang naitulong dahil sa lahat ng areas sa lambak ng Cagayan, puwede kong ipagmalaki na among the different districts,…e have the least shortage in terms of classroom, teachers and many others, in terms of education,” Ting said during an interview at the Philippine Information Agency’s Tipon Tipan program.
Ting said the district was able to attain the “achievement” despite being the most populous district in the region.
He added that this was made possible by lifting funds from the local infrastructure programs in the construction of additional classrooms.
“So makikita mo ‘yun, tayo ang pinakamalaking distrito pero tayo ang pinaka-konti ang pagkukulang sa classroom, pagkukulang sa teachers. Tayo bilang isang representative ay ginagawa po natin ang ating mga trabaho,” Ting said. Northernforum.net
