TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- In the police’s strengthened Oplan Manhunt Charlie, eight wanted persons including a government employee were arrested on Monday, February 19 in separate operations in Cagayan, Santiago City, and Isabela.
Police Regional Office 02 (PRO2) identified the suspects as Rodolfo Ferrer, 44, from Barangay Victory Norte, Santiago City who is facing charges on theft and government employee Jenny Burgos, 48, from Barangay Disimpit, Jones, Isabela, who is facing a case involving Falsification of Public Document.
Also arrested are farmer Jeoffrey Nacuyogan, from Gabriela Silang, Diffun, Quirino, who is facing a case against the Omnibus Election Code; Joel Tolentino, 40, from Barangay Centro 2, Angadanan, Isabela, who is suspected for violating Presidential Decree 705; and farmer Michael Campos, 39, from Ramos West San Isidro, Isabela, who is facing charges on Adultery.
Meanwhile, arrested suspects Maria Camacam, 52, from San Roque, Enrile, Cagayan, and Fernando Dayos Jr, 34, from Marcos, Roxas, Isabela are facing charges on estafa.
PRO2 Regional Director Chief Superintendent Jose Mario Espino said the arrest of the wanted persons is important because of its huge effect in maintaining peace and order in the community, giving security to residents.
“Nais naming mapalagay kayo at makapamuhay ng malaya at walang kinatatakutan kung kaya’t ginagawa namin ang lahat ng aming makakaya upang walisin ang lahat ng masasamang loob na nakakasira sa kaayusan at katahimikan sa inyong mga lugar at panagutin sila sa batas,” Espino added.
The police director earlier said the valley cops’ priority under his leadership is catching wanted persons aside from arresting drug personalities in the region. Northernforum.net
