TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- The Cagayan Valley police netted 10 individuals in a separate drug buy-bust operations on Thursday as part of the continuing battle against illegal drugs in Cagayan Valley Region.
Police Regional Office 2 regional director Chief Supt. Robert G. Quenery identified the arrested suspects as Feliciano Ramos, 51 and Edgardo Ramos, 48, both from Brgy Calaocan, Santiago City; Rogelio Cuentas, 20 of Caritan Centro, Tuguegarao City and Jonel Ilagan, 33, a resident of Brgy Caggay, Tuguegarao City; Wendy Umbria, 24 of Brgy Centro East, Allacapan, Cagayan; Roderick Perpinian, 28 of Brgy Tallungan, Aparri, Cagayan; Jessie Bancud, 23 of Brgy Atulayan Sur, Tuguegarao City; Michael Tumaliuan, 19 of Brgy Rizal, Santiago City; Richard Cortez, 21 of Brgy Rizal, Santiago City; and Francisco Pinto, 36 of Brgy San Antonio, Alicia, Isabela.
“The arrests show that your police force here in Region 2 will not stop until the whole region is cleared from illegal drugs. We will continue our campaign against all forms of criminality especially against the scourge of illegal drugs,” Quenery said.
Charges were filed against the arrested suspects before the prosecutor’s office. (PNA)
