2023 Philippine Athletics Championship in Ilagan City concluded

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The 2023 Philippine Athletics Championship, which began on March 20 in the City of Ilagan in Isabela came to a close last night, March 26.

The Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Iraq were among the seven nations represented by delegations, and all of the stakeholders were praised by Mayor Jose Marie Diaz in his remarks.

He claimed that the development of friendships among everyone, not just the athletes, was one of the best outcomes of the Philippine Athletics Championship.

He also expressed gratitude to the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA) for selecting the City of Ilagan to host the event for the fourth time, demonstrating once more the city’s suitability to host such athletic events.

The upcoming Philippine Athletics Championships would once again be held in the city of Ilagan, PATAFA President Terry Capistrano promised in his remarks.

He congratulated both the organizational team and the athletes who competed to make the game possible for successfully holding the Philippine Athletics Championships.

Vina Morales, a singer and actress, gave a performance yesterday night at the closing ceremony.

Champions in athletics, several locals eagerly anticipated the closing and awarding ceremony to watch the famous visitor and the elaborate fireworks show.
