TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Some 42 cars and 52 motorbikes were exhibited in Tuguegarao’s Finest Rides-Cars and Motorbikes Show, the first car and motorbike show in this city, at SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown (SMCTD) on Saturday, February 24.

The rides show is presented by SM and VIP Productions with Councilor Vinchy Aggabao of Blue Chem.

VIP Productions Head Randy Olarte said the car and motorbike show aims to “promote friendship and camaraderie among motor enthusiasts up north.”

Olarte added that the show, open to the locals, is a nationwide campaign of other SM Supermalls and local government units.

SMCTD said the show was mobbed with a large population of car enthusiasts from around Cagayan. Some of the exhibitors also came all the way from Panagasinan, Apayao, Ilocos and nearby towns and provinces.

Out of the exhibitors, Tuguegarao Auto Club bagged the award for the Best Group.

The event showcased the process of customizing normal cars and motorbikes to make it “extraordinary.”

Further, there were also daily car drives and “garage queens” which are vehicles that are restored to conditions better than when they were first built. These were then then locked away inside climate controlled garages.

SMCTD said the exhibitors were glad to have been part of the show which they described as “fun and an interactive experience.”

SMCTD also said this was a way of introducing a new kind of entertainment to the community.

Meanwhile, Olarte said, because of the massive crowd during the event, they are now planning to have another car show in SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown on October 6. Princess Lauigan/PR/GTL/Northerforum.net
