TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Two Cagayanos graduated their maritime studies at the Philippine Merchant Maritime Academy (PMMA) Sandiglayan Class of 2017 as with Latin Honors.
Razor Dave Samortin, who hails from Barangay Progressive, Gonzaga, Cagayan graduated in the country’s premiere merchant and maritime school as Magna Cum Laude on Thursday, July 6.
Samortin was a consistent honor student during his elementary and secondary educations.
He graduated valedictorian in Gonzaga North Central School for his elementary studies. He also finished his high school at the Cagayan State University – Laboratory High School in Gonzaga as valedictorian.
Meanwhile, Christopher Busilan of Barangay Furagui in Solana, Cagayan also finished as Cum Laude.
In a Facebook post, Busilan thanked God and the people behind his achievement.
“Often we want people to pray for us and help us, but we always defeat our object when we look too much to them and lean upon them. The true secret of union is for both to look upon God, and in the act of looking past themselves to Him they are unconsciously united. Thank you Father for everything. To You all the Glory,” Busilan said. Northernforum.net
