Tuguegarao City – DOH confirms the arrival of a Chinese medical team to assist the Philippines on the COVID19 outbreak.
The medical team is composed of 12 Chinese experts, who will be conducting rounds in different hospitals, laboratories, and quarantine facilities to assess the situation and provide technical advice on pandemic response and control. Results of their assessment will be released in the next days.
Together with the medical team are 5,000 PPEs, 30,000 N95 masks, 300,000 medical masks, 5,000 face shields, 30 ventilators to be distributed to hospitals.
Meanwhile, Usec of Health Maria Rosario Singh- Vegeire thanked the private sector in helping the government fight the coronavirus outbreak.
She also reminded the public that donations can be directed immediately to hospitals without being coursed through the Office of Civil Defense.
