TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- One of Laguna’s most wanted persons was caught by police in San Manuel town in Isabela province on Thursday, September 14.
In a press release, the Police Regional Office Region 2 (PRO2) said the suspected swindler was identified as Maria Nadhine Chloe Olivio, 36, from Mayondon, Los Baños, Laguna.
Police report said they were able to arrest Olivio after receiving an information from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) that the suspect was spotted aboard a blue Ford Explorer in the area.
San Manuel police were able to flag down Olivio’s vehicle and also arrested the driver Camilo Dela Cruz, 37, from Dapunganay, Amulung, Cagayan.
Olivio was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Gregorio M Velasquez of Calamba Regional Trial Court Branch 35 for the crime of syndicated Estafa. No bail was recommended.
The police also recovered a caliber 45 with magazine loaded with seven live ammunition beside the accelerator pedal of the vehicle. Dela Cruz failed to present any legal documents for the firearms, police said.
Dela Cruz’s shoulder bag also contained five (5) pieces of live ammunition for caliber 45 and three pieces of small transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.
“If wanted persons are duly accounted, the number of criminals who roam the streets is reasonably reduced, thus contributing greatly in the development of the community, ” PRO2 Director Police Chief Superintendent Robert Quenery said. Northernforum.net
