Trademark Applications by Trump Media and Technology Group
On Thursday, Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), identified by its ticker symbol DJT.O, announced its application to trademark a series of six investment products. These products are designed to mirror the performance of bitcoin, as well as the U.S. manufacturing and energy sectors.
The proposed trademarks include the Truth.Fi Bitcoin Plus ETF, Truth.Fi Made in America ETF, and Truth.Fi U.S. Energy Independence ETF among others.
However, it’s important to note that TMTG has not yet completed the filing process for these six products with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Partnership and Separately Managed Accounts
TMTG is planning to introduce three separately managed accounts (SMAs), which will focus on the aforementioned sectors. This initiative will be in collaboration with the financial services giant Charles Schwab SCHW.N.
SMAs are specialized investment portfolios, tailored and managed by professional asset managers, that cater to the needs of individual investors or institutional entities.
Donald Trump, the former U.S. President, holds the majority ownership of TMTG, which also operates the social media platform Truth Social.
Recently, TMTG disclosed that its board has greenlighted the initiation of a financial services and fintech brand named Truth.Fi. This new venture will encompass the rollout of the newly trademarked products, with investment plans reaching up to $250 million. These funds are set to be held in custody by Charles Schwab.
