TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines — The city government here has activated its one-stop-shop within the city hall to speed up the processing in the renewal of business permits and licenses.
City Permit and Licensing Office chief Jimmy Baquiran on Tuesday said the activation of the one-stop-shop is annually being done by the city government to avoid the lining up of business owners in securing necessary documents for the renewal of permits and licenses.
He said the one-stop-shop will be composed of representatives from the different offices that would issue the needed documents for the renewal of business permits.
He said the offices which comprised the one-stop-shop are the City Health Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Social Security System and other government agencies that are issuing necessary documents needed in the renewal of business permits and licenses.
Baquiran also said the deadline in the renewal of business permits and licenses is on January 31 and those who failed to renew with the set deadline will pay 25 percent surcharges and two percent penalties per month of unpaid taxes.
He then urged business owners here to renew their business permits and licenses on time to avoid penalties and surcharges of the unpaid taxes. PNA
