TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Police arrested three suspects in separate buy bust operations in Cagayan province and Santiago City this week.
Suspects were Danzel Dela Cruz, 24, from Paradize, Gonzaga, Cagayan; Macgyver Melad, 30, from Cataggaman Pardo, this city; and Evelyn Firmanes, 48, from Quirino, San Dionisio, Parañaque City.
In a press release, police said Dela Cruz was nabbed by Gonzaga police in a drug bust in Barangay Isca, Gonzaga, Cagayanon Wednesday morning, January 24.
Meanwhile, later that night, police arrested Melad in an operation in Barangay Bayo, Iguig, Cagayan; while Firmanes was caught in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Four Lanes, Barangay Malvar, Santiago City.
Police retrieved from the three packets of suspected shabu and marked money with a value not below P1,000.
The three will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165.
In the release, newly appointed Police Regional Office 02 Director Chief Superintendent Jose Mario Espino lauded the success of the Valley Cops.
Espino challenged all police unit commanders to double their anti drugs efforts to “totally cleanse” the region from illegal drugs.
