TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan,– Two hundred eighty-five (285) successful candidates for Police Officer 1 took their oath, October 30, 2018 held at PRO2 Grandstand.
No less than RD PRO2, PCSUPT JOSE MARIO M ESPINO administered the Oath Taking Ceremony of the said 285 applicants. He challenged the new PO1s to accept the duties and obligations attached with police work and be called in a situation where they have to put their lives on the line. “Serve your community with honor and all the pride you can muster and discern that so many facets of your commitment to the law enforcement profession calls for being the wonderful sons and daughters and family members, friends and neighbors within the community you serve”, he added.
Out of the eight hundred sixty-six (866) who applied in the Online Recruitment Application System (ORAS), only six hundred forty-six (646) passed the agility test and was trimmed down to two hundred eighty-five (285) personnel found to be qualified to enter the PNP organization after finishing all the stages in the PO1 Recruitment Program.
The second part of the program was the Reception Rites as one of the Customs and Tradition of the PNP Organization in welcoming the said new PO1s wherein they were tested of their physical endurance before their formal turn-over to the Regional Training Center 2 at Cauayan City, Isabela to undergo the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course and Field Training Programs for almost 12 months.
