LGU Tuguegarao orders to lockdown one barangay due to community transmission


TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN – The Local Government of Tuguegarao has ordered to lockdown Barangay Caritan Norte for a possible community transmission on March 27, 2020.

Tuguegarao City Mayor Atty. Jefferson Soriano said that the lockdown is to make sure that the virus may not spread any further.

A curfew adjustments was immediately implemented from 6pm to 6am.

“Ito po ay ginawa namin upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng sakit. Huwag po kayong magalit dahil hangad lang namin maging maayus ang syudad”, he added

As of now, police checkpoints has been set up to all entry point of the affected barangay.

Meanwhile, there are four Corona Virus Disease 2019 (CoVid-19) positive in the city.

Two of them are members of the medical workers of Cagayan Valley Medical Center, which is designated as the only #CoVid19 hospital in the province.

In addition, there are 11 confirmed cases in the whole region.

Authorities urged the people to cooperate and follow protocols.
