PNP nabs Gun Ban Violators

CAGAYAN VALLEY- Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) in its strict implementation of Commission on Election (COMELEC) Gun Ban had arrested three (3) more individuals in separate operations in Isabela and Vizcaya on February 03, 2019.

Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office (NVPPO), PSUPT Peter Cambri, Officer-in-Charge in his report said that Patrollers of Bagabag Police Station arrested Jonathan Rivera Josue, 36 years old, married, Security Guard and a resident of Sitio Kinacao, Brgy. Baretbet, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya.

Josue was seen walking along the national highway having in his direct possession and control one (1) unloaded Armscor 12 gauge shotgun with serial number 1144374 and one (1) holster with tucked six (6) pieces live ammunitions for 12 gauge shotgun.

Based on the Initial investigation of the Police, the suspect was detailed as Security guard under AREM Security and Investigation Agency of Abauag St. Centro East, Santiago City, who is presently rendering duty at the compound of NTA Enterprises.

Moreover, the suspect was asked for the pertinent documents of said firearm but failed to present any.

The PNP said that Josue was under the influence of liquor and left his post while rendering an active duty as Security Guard. The suspect and the confiscated evidences were brought to Bagabag PS for proper documentation and disposition.

On the other hand, personnel of Gamu PS arrested  Vicente Lizardo Bilog, 52 years old, farmer, with live-in partner and a resident of Purok 3 Brgy. Mabini, Gamu, Isabela and Elfeo Lizardo Bilog, 49 years old, farmer, with live-in partner a resident of Purok 7 Brgy. Mabini, Gamu, Isabela for violation of RA 10591  and Omnibus Election Code.

The Police confiscated one (1) chrome STI EDGE cal. 45 with serial no. 241856, two (2) magazines and two (2) live ammunitions while one (1) home-made shotgun (SUMPAK) with one (1) live ammunition for Elfeo. Investigation disclosed that Brgy. Captain Roy Amigo of Rizal, Gamu, Isabela.

Amigo reported to Gamu PS through cellphone call regarding a heated altercation and commotion between the suspects and certain Danilo Carreon particularly at the said place.

Personnel of Gamu PS proceeded to said place together with Brgy. Chairman Amigo to verify the report and upon arrival, responding personnel saw the said Firearms while in the possession of the suspects. Upon verification, the suspects failed to produce pertinent documents of said Firearms thus personnel of Gamu PS arrested the suspects and confiscated the Firearms and immediately brought to Gamu PS for proper documentation.

Case for Violation of RA 10591 is being prepared against the suspects.
