Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The Tuguegarao Police Station headed by Chief PLT COL Jhonalyn Quilang Tecbobolan initiated the Ayuda sa Barangay Program, an activity where the police distributes relief goods to unprivileged families in the city.
Tecbobolan said that from May 1 up to present, they have distributed relief packs to more than 400 families in different barangays in the city.
“In-adapt po naming ang Biyaya sa Barangay (BIBAR) program ng Provincial director at ginawa naming Ayuda sa Barangay Program upang mas makatulong dito sa ating lokalikad,” she added.
In addition, she also said that the funds used for the relief goods were from the personal money of the personnel of the Tuguegarao Police Station.
“Dun natin nakikita na kaya rin natin tumulong sa ating kapwa kahit wala ng COVID-19, we will sustain this program,” she added.
For the assessment of the recipients, police officers coordinated with the barangay officials to assess the families who are mostly in need.
Meanwhile, another activity initiated by the Police Station was giving of seeds and seedlings.
“Namimigay kami ng seeds o seedlings upang sa gayon makapagtanim sila yung mga mabilisang gulay at magamit nila bilang pagkain”, Tecbobolan said. TNF
