TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Police investigators are seeing politics as possible motive in the recent bombing of the house of Conner, Apayao mayor Leonardo Dangoy last Saturday, December 3.
The Philippine National Police-Tuguegarao said Dangoy disclosed to authorities that they had also been attacked with gunshots during the elections in the same house in Barangay Caritan Norte in this city.
Dangoy reportedly told the police he sees no reason for the grenade attack, which kille one of Dangoy’s aides, Medrano Dungi Pilic, after sustaining shrapnel wounds on the head and chest.
Dangoy’s son Leomark and granddaughter Aiza were also injured. –Northernforum.net
