Cauayan City, Isabela – With Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. leading the polls significantly, heads of Russia, China and the United States have congratulated the incoming president, expressing their willingness to work with him in his administration.
Russia’s Vladimir Putin, China’s Xi JinPing and the USA’s Joe Biden have all told Marcos that they are willing to work with him in his coming administration.
The Russian Embassy in PH told the press that Putin had congratulated Marcos and said the country and Russia are ‘traditionally friendly.’
Putin said in his official statement to Marcos, ““I hope that your efforts as head of state will facilitate further development of the fruitful cooperation between Russia and the Philippines in various areas. This meets in full the interests of our nations and is in line with the endeavors to strengthen security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.”
On Thursday, the White House confirmed that US President Biden was in a phone call with Marcos sending his congratulations for his victory in the PH elections, while the US Government said its looking forward to have close ties with the Philippines in its coming administration.
Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian relayed President Xi’s congratulations to the son of the late strongman as well as their Vice President Qishan’s similar messages to incoming VP Sara Duterte.
China’s president also said that PH and China are neighbors and partners that have “stood together through hardships.” TNF
