
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Tropical depression “Jenny” has intensified into a tropical storm (TS) as it continues to move towards Central Luzon, based on the latest severe weather bulletin by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The tropical storm is expected to make landfall in Aurora tonight or tomorrow early morning.
As of 10AM today, the location of eye or center of TS Jenny was estimated to be at 360 km East Northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte or 490 km East of Infanta, Quezon, said PAGASA.
While moving west northwest at 25 km/h, it’s strength has a maximum sustained winds of up to 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) No. 2 has been raised in Isabela, Quirino and Aurora.
Meanwhile, Cagayan, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands, Cavite, Laguna, Camarines Norte, northeastern portion of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes has been placed under TCWS No. 1.
