TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – With the crisis at hand, Tuguegarao City Science High School (TCSHS) Alumni organized a webinar series tackling the misconception of the youth on Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on May 16, 23 and tomorrow.

Through a series of virtual seminar, a group from TCSHS formed Project TASK (TugSci Alumni Sharing Knowledge) to instill understanding that educating the youth is the nation’s best solution to attain progress.  “With the Tuguegaraoenos in mind, TASK was originally created to address the different misconceptions about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic”, the group said.

Project TASK officers also said that though various debates and discussions, it is apparent that the current pandemic has a significant impact on many societal aspects. The members of TASK collectively believe that the battle against the pandemic starts with being equipped with accurate knowledge not only about the technical aspects of the disease, but also about our rights as Filipinos.

The long-term vision for the Non-for-profit organization is to continue highlighting and addressing local, national, and even international societal concerns through the dissection and dissemination of factual and reliable information.

Meanwhile, the group also said that the objective can be achieved by gathering more young Tuguegaraoenos and Cagayanos towards a united cause of educating the youth of Tuguegarao City and the province of Cagayan.

The topics mainly focused on COVID-19 and Public Health, relevant industries during the pandemic and law, governance and economics during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
