TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Different cultural places of the Cagayan Province will be a part of the tourism promotion on the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2020, Department of Education (DepEd) R02 says on Thursday morning.
Reynante Caliguiran, Schools Division Superintendent of Tuguegarao City shared during the ‘Kamustahan with the Media’ Press Conference that visitors from the central office will be having their around the province to showcase the tourist’s destinations like the Callao Cave, and Basilica Minore of Piat.
He added that this will strengthen their coordination and partnership with the Department of Tourism.
On the other hand, Estella Cabaro, Curriculum Implementation Division head said that there will be a dance presentation during the welcoming of the visitors at Tuguegarao City Airport.
“There will be a cultural dance of Ibanag as part of the opening of the NSPC. For the other participants and delegations of the 17 competing (regions), the billeting schools will be welcomed them with their drum and lyres”, she added.
Meanwhile, Estella Cariño, DepEd R02 Director assured the security of the delegates due to the cooperation with the Philippine National Police.
“Security and traffic plans were already discussed with the Local Government Unit. This is not only us, we should help each other as one, because it is not only the face of DepEd but the region as a whole”, Cariño added.
“There will be comments to us as we host the 2020 NSPC, because the delegation will have a different personality. We should show our smile and coordination to have a positive feedback from our visitors. We know that after the event, we don’t want any negative comments from about our hosting”, the director said.
This is the third time that region 02 will be hosting NSPC, while the first time in this city.
