Scopri il miglior riso al supermercato: Altroconsumo incorona un brand famosissimo

When it comes to culinary delights, few ingredients can unite food lovers quite like Carnaroli rice. Renowned for its exceptional quality, this rice variety is the go-to choice for crafting exquisite risottos and other sophisticated dishes. Its remarkable texture and cooking resilience set it apart from the rest, making it a staple in kitchens everywhere. Yet, with so many options on the market, the question arises: is there a standout brand that truly excels?

Recent research conducted by Altroconsumo sheds light on this query, evaluating 21 different Carnaroli rice products available in supermarkets as of the previous year. This comprehensive analysis took into account various factors, including the quality of the grains, varietal purity, labeling accuracy, price, and cooking yield. Did you know that you can enjoy rice, pasta, and potatoes without worrying about weight gain? Here lies the secret.

The team at Cookist highlights that each product underwent a rigorous laboratory evaluation, focusing on purity verification (not all products truly contain Carnaroli rice), visual quality assessment (looking for impurities or broken grains), and labeling transparency (ensuring correct origin and adherence to mandatory information). The assessment was based on objective criteria, employing a scientific and impartial approach.

A crucial element of this evaluation was the consideration of the quality-to-price ratio, which allowed for the selection of rice that delivers high performance while remaining budget-friendly. These are the factors and parameters taken into account, contributing to the overall score and corresponding quality classifications.

Four categories emerged from this analysis:

  • "Excellent quality" for products scoring above 75 points, showcasing outstanding flavor, texture, and label accuracy.
  • "Good quality" for scores between 65 and 74 points, representing solid products with minor flaws.
  • "Average quality" for scores ranging from 55 to 64 points, indicating acceptable products with notable limitations.
  • "Low quality" for those scoring below 55, reflecting poor performance, technical defects, or label inaccuracies.

At the top of the rankings, tied with an impressive score of 80 out of 100, are Le Stagioni d’Italia – Carnaroli and Riso del Vo – Carnaroli Classico. They outperform Riso Almo – Carnaroli, which secured 78 points, taking the second spot, followed by Riserva Gallo – Carnaroli, with a score of 76. Just shy of a podium finish is Grandi Riso – Terra del Riso Carnaroli, with 70 points, while NaturaSì – Carnaroli rounds out the top five with 68 points.
