A staggering 78% of travelers opting for last-minute deals chose destinations that are conveniently close by. Proximity seems to be the leading factor influencing these quick decisions, overshadowing other considerations. Leading the charge in popular travel spots is Italy, capturing 24% of the total preferences, closely followed by Spain at 23% and Greece holding its ground with an 11% share. The tight competition between Italy and Spain underscores the appeal of these two Mediterranean gems for undecided travelers weighing their options until the final week.

An analysis of booking patterns reveals a notable peak during the week of July 19 to 25, which accounted for 25% of all reservations. This was closely trailed by the week of July 12, with 23%, and the week of July 26, which saw a 21% share of bookings. Interestingly, the duration of stays also exhibits a clear trend: 32% of travelers opted for vacations lasting between 7 and 13 days, while 29% preferred a quick getaway of 3 to 4 days.
