The excitement surrounding Marco Mengoni’s ongoing tour is palpable, with fans eagerly flocking to his performances across Italy. Recently, the singer captivated audiences in Eboli following a string of sold-out shows in Milan, Bologna, and Florence. However, it was during one of these electrifying concerts in Campania that a heartwarming moment caught the attention of everyone present, and it was all captured live for the world to see.
On November 5th, while belting out his hits, Mengoni noticed a mother in the crowd holding her young daughter. In a spontaneous act of kindness, he left the stage to greet them. Clearly taken aback by the sight, the seasoned artist expressed his delight, showering compliments on the little girl. “What a beautiful girl you are!” he exclaimed, before jokingly asking her mother, “Did you bring her here because you’re a little crazy?” His playful tone resonated with the audience, who couldn’t help but cheer at the endearing interaction.
Mengoni took a moment to ensure the child’s safety, inquiring if the mother had provided adequate hearing protection for her daughter. “Have we put on the headphones, at least?” he asked with concern. After snapping a quick selfie with the duo—urging the mother to ensure the child’s headphones were properly fitted—he returned to the stage, and the concert rolled on amidst roaring applause. Unsurprisingly, the touching encounter quickly went viral, leaving fans buzzing with delight across social media platforms.
Yet, not everyone was charmed by this incident. Some critics raised valid concerns about the appropriateness of exposing such a young child to a loud concert environment. “Sure, it’s lovely, but poor little one with that blaring music,” commented a user on X (formerly Twitter). Another chimed in, “As if headphones are enough. What if something goes wrong and there’s panic? Being trapped in a crowd with a child at chest height is reckless.” Calls for greater vigilance from security personnel also emerged, with many arguing that guidelines should prevent very young children from attending concerts.
After this intriguing and somewhat contentious episode, Mengoni continues his tour across Italy. He is set to perform four sold-out shows at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Rome on November 8, 9, 12, and 13. Following that, his “Live in Europe 2025” tour, which kicked off in Turin on October 8, will take him beyond Italy’s borders to major cities across Europe. On November 19, he will grace Geneva, followed by Stuttgart on November 21, Düsseldorf on November 22, Zurich on November 24, Frankfurt on November 26, Munich on November 27, and Brussels on November 30.
December will see him take the stage in Utrecht on the 1st, Paris on the 3rd (already sold out), Esch-sur-Alzette in Luxembourg on the 5th, London on the 7th (also sold out), and Madrid on the 10th. Earlier in the summer, Mengoni took his music to the stadiums, reflecting on emotional memories of his mother that deeply resonated with him.
