TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- A 58-year old man and a minor were injured in separate firecracker and improvised cannon incidents in Isabela and Cagayan over Christmas eve.
In a report from Bombo Radyo, Fred Medina suffered an injury in his middle finger after failing to release immediately a five-star firecracker which exploded in his hand.
Further, he was reportedly drunk during the incident.
Medina is a resident of Barangay Bella Luz, San Mateo, Isabela; and is reportedly the first victim of a firecracker-related case in the said town.
Meanwhile, a boy from Linao East, this city, was rushed to the hospital after sustaining a minor hand injury from a boga.
Bombo reported that the seven-year-old boy was playing the improvised cannon when he accidentally fired it. The blast injured his right hand.
