TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Five people were injured in three separate vehicular incidents in Cagayan, Isabela, and Nueva Vizcaya.
Two construction workers sustained injuries after their motorcycle collided with a dump truck along Barangay Baresbes, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya on Thursday afternoon, November 23.
Police identified the two as 51-year old Gerardo Huab and his back rider Berting Valeros, 38. Both were residents of Sitio Koti-Koti, Barangay Darubba in the said town.
Investigation shows that the motorcycle was traversing the highway when the driver lost control of the handle bar and encroached the other lane. The victims collided with the approaching dump truck.
Huab and Valeros were brought to Veterans Regional Hospital.
Both vehicles involved incurred undetermined costs of damages while the truck driver Noel Capulong, 41, surrendered to the police.
Meanwhile, a 52-year old farmer also got injured after being bumped by a motorcycle in Tagaran, Cauayan City, Isabela on Wednesday night, November 22.
Police identified the victim as Florendo Magaoay who was hit by motorcycle driven by Jerry Dela Cruz, 48. Police said that Yangat was on his way to Manaoag, Cauayan City when the victim suddenly crossed the road. He was bumped by Yangot’s motorcycle.
Members of Rescue 922 rushed the injured to Cauayan District Hospital and was later transferred to Cauayan Medical Specialist for further medical treatment.
Police are preparing to charge Yangot for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Serious Physical Injury and Damage to Property.
In Barangay Bagu, Abulug, Cagayan, two people were injured after a Toyota Land Cruiser bumped their motorcycle on Wednesday night, November 22.
Abulug Police said Leonard Pascua, 25 with his backrider Sylverio Soliven, 29, was driving their motorcycle, without plate number, at high speed. After, they intruded the other lane and hit the left side front fender of the land cruiser driven by Reginald Delos Santos, 53.
As a result, the motorcycle riders were thrown on the concrete road and sustained injuries. They were brought to Ballesteros District Hospital.
Further, police believed the motorcycle driver was drunk.
Both vehicles incurred undetermined costs of damages and brought to Abulug Police Station. Northernforum.net
