2 more COVID-19 cases in Cag Val

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Department of Health (DoH) Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development confirmed two (2) more positive cases of the Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Cagayan on June 28, 2020.

According to DoH, the first case (CV76) is a 66 year old female from Amulung town in Cagayan province.

Health authorities said that the patient has a travel history in Antipolo, Rizal who arrived in the town of Amulung last June 25, and was immediately quarantined.

Meanwhile, (CV77) is a 30 year-old female Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who has a travel history in
Dubai. The patient is a resident of Baggao who arrived last June 24 in her hometown where she was placed in a quarantine facility immediately.

DoH, Philippine National Police, the concerned Local Government Units and the Department of the Interior Local Government are now conducting contact tracing.

Health authorities are now reiterating to the public to follow strict community quarantine protocols. TNF
