TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- Senator Grace Poe will top the senatorial elections if it’s held third week of December 2018, Pulse Asia said on Wednesday, January, in its latest “Ulat ng Bayan” survey months ahead of the 2019 elections.
Senator Poe leads with 75.6 percent voting preference, a slightly higher than her September 2018 survey preference rate of 70.1. The survey also said Poe has the highest awareness rate at 99 over 100.
The survey was conducted from December 14 to 21, with 1800 participants nationwide.
In the survey, 15 senatorial candidates have statistical chance winning. Almost all of them are incumbent or comebackers in the Congress.
Joining Poe in the top 5 are Cynthia Villar, 75.6%; Edgardo Sonny Angara, 58.5%; Pia Cayetano, 55.4%; and Lito Lapid, 49.8%.
The following also have chances to win:
- former senator Serge Osmeña, 8th to 13th places
- former senator Bong Revilla, 8th to 14th places
- Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos 8th to 15th places
- former senator Jinggoy Estrada, 8th to 15th places
- former Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Chief Ronald dela Rosa (8th to 15th)
- former Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) secretary Mar Roxas, 8th to 15th places
- Senator JV Ejercito, 9th to 16th places
- Senator Benigno Bam Aquino, 10th to 16th places
Of the newcomers, only Marcos and Dela Rosa made it to possible winning circle.
