TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines- The Supreme Court has allowed the burial of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, Rappler reported on Tuesday, November 8.
With an 9-5 decision, the SC gave its nod to the earlier order of President Rodrigo Duterte to bury Marcos despite oppositions of some group.
Those who voted for Marcos’ burial were Associate Justices Arturo Brion, Presbitero Velasco Jr, Diosdado Peralta, Lucas Bersamin, Mariano del Castillo, Jose Perez, Teresita de Castro, Jose Mendoza, and Estela Perlas-Bernabe.
Dissent votes came from Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, and Associate Justices Marvic Leonen, Francis Jardeleza, and Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa. TNF
